There’s nothing like cold-water swimming that grounds you. It’s a feeling of reconnection, of you to the world, of you to the elements, and of you to yourself.
I got into swimming sort of by default. It was something we did a lot as children, and it goes hand in hand with being in nature and going on adventures. It was only once I’d been doing it for a while that the other magical side of it became apparent.
